founded August 2006
" BE DOGWISE" was launched by Caring Canines in May 2007 and teaches
Safety Around Dogs and Responsible Dog Ownership ..
Working with small groups of children from 4 to 12 years of age we teach them how to stay as safe as possible when in dog's company using role play to demonstrate correct behaviour around dogs, both known and unknown.
Only our own specially selected, temperament tested, assessed and insured dogs participate........... Caring Canines regard the children`s safety of paramount importance, have a Child Protection Policy in place and at least one member of the team holds a current DBS certificate.
All sessions are pitched at appropriate age and comprehension levels with learning reinforced by practical exercises and question time
Key safety information and the STRANGER DANGER message is repeated throughout
ALL particpating Volunteers are registered members who are also committed to visiting/have visited a dedicated venue on a regular basis
Be Dogwise has been presented to over 3,000 children as at July 2013 and continues to be highly popular so advance booking is necessary
